Hey everyone hope you’re enjoying the hottest summer in history (true story). I’ve been locked up in the studio mixing down my solo record all month. It’s finally happening after all these years of leg work & I’m very excited about it all.

One of the people I’m working with heavy on my album is Rich Kidd, an up & coming producer/MC from my hometown of Toronto who’s been making serious noise and for good reason. Rich has worked with everyone from Drake to Saukrates to yours truly & I’ll be doing a surprise guest set tomorrow night (Thurs) at Revival in Toronto for the release of his latest CD. We’ll be premiering some brand new exclusives off my album plus a ton of surprises & debauchery. Scroll down for more details.

Also this Friday night, my monthly party The Sheenic Route moves from Manhattan to the almighty BROOKLYN. This month I’ll be holding it down solo alongside X-Ecutioner assassin, Boogie Blind (who recently landed a gig as Busta Rhymes tour DJ) and special guest DJ Frame all the way from Ottawa. Check the flyer below for all the info. It’s gonna be fizza-funky.

In other news my big bro and hip-hop junkie himself Greg Nice recently dropped a new video called “Motherfuck@”. I make a quick cameo in this star studded video.

Man first & foremost I’d like to thank all 800 of you that came out to the Sheen Bros/Freedom Party jumpoff that went down at Brooklyn Bowl this Sunday. To have Lord Finesse & Greg Nice on the mic while me & Cosmo played our set was one of the most classic hip-hop memories of my life. Scroll down for some pics of the night.

If you’re in NYC make sure to come out to The Vault on Friday for The Sheenic Route. This time we have special guest DJ J. Period rocking with us. Known for crafting legendary mixtapes for the likes of Lauryn Hill, Nas, Mary J. Blige, K’Naan & most recently Nneka its’ sure to be a funky affair.

Also on Friday The Sheen Bros will be on East Village Radio filling in for DJ Small Change on his show The Big Cover Up. Make sure you tune in live online.

Yooo!! It’s been a crazy March for the kid. I was in NYC at the top of the month to re-launch The Sheenic Route at the Vault. Shit was super dope. While I was in NYC I also got to jump into the lab with the one & only Greg Nice of Nice & Smooth and he blessed a Sheen Bros track lovely which you’ll be hearing real soon!

I’m just getting back from a great weekend out in Vancouver where I rocked at Fortune Sound Club. What was slated to be a Sheen Bros gig suddenly turned into a solo affair as some last minute customs bullshit kept Cosmo from making the trip. Regardless, shit was super thorough and I got to spend a couple of days off out there (which is rare) and connect with alot of Van City heads. Shout out to Rob Rizk, GMAN, Nina Mendoza, DJ Static (We Funk), Love & Elektrik, U-Tern & all the other great people I built with out there.
