Hey everyone hope you’re enjoying the hottest summer in history (true story). I’ve been locked up in the studio mixing down my solo record all month. It’s finally happening after all these years of leg work & I’m very excited about it all.

One of the people I’m working with heavy on my album is Rich Kidd, an up & coming producer/MC from my hometown of Toronto who’s been making serious noise and for good reason. Rich has worked with everyone from Drake to Saukrates to yours truly & I’ll be doing a surprise guest set tomorrow night (Thurs) at Revival in Toronto for the release of his latest CD. We’ll be premiering some brand new exclusives off my album plus a ton of surprises & debauchery. Scroll down for more details.

Also this Friday night, my monthly party The Sheenic Route moves from Manhattan to the almighty BROOKLYN. This month I’ll be holding it down solo alongside X-Ecutioner assassin, Boogie Blind (who recently landed a gig as Busta Rhymes tour DJ) and special guest DJ Frame all the way from Ottawa. Check the flyer below for all the info. It’s gonna be fizza-funky.

In other news my big bro and hip-hop junkie himself Greg Nice recently dropped a new video called “Motherfuck@”. I make a quick cameo in this star studded video.

Shit was really crazy. Thank you to Scion for bringing me out to their 1st ever Music Conference. I didn’t take as many pics as I should have but it was a really informative and well-put together conference. Highlights included dinner with RZA, Juan Atkins & Prince Paul and eating fresh seared tuna at the Scion mansion. They’ll be putting most of the panels online so I’ll let everyone know when they go up.

Man first & foremost I’d like to thank all 800 of you that came out to the Sheen Bros/Freedom Party jumpoff that went down at Brooklyn Bowl this Sunday. The sun is shining, the snow is gone & I’m still hibernating in the studio most days. It’s been a pretty crazy & hectic month of recording for my solo album that’s rapidly reaching completion. So far I got guest shots & production from the likes of Greg Nice, Simahlak, Rich Kidd, Showtyme, Sheen Bros & some more surprises. I’m really excited to get this out to the world…it’s been a LONG time coming but it’ll be completely worth the wait.

Speaking of solo stuff here’s a cool interview I did with my good homeys & really great DJ Bag designers – Tucker & Bloom.

Always a personal favorite of mine, Guru & Premier truly embodied the definition & sound of hip-hop and consistently elevated the art form. WMC Miami Recap

Watsup world. I’m actually still stuck on South Beach with an ear infection & can’t leave till Sunday. Boohoohoo I know it’s a tough life over here. Anyways WMC 2010 was a huge success this year. I met tons of great new people and saw some of the best & most inspired DJ/Live music sets from so many ill dudes it was truly humbling.

Chilling outside of the illy mansion party with Al Swaki (Chung King Studios), Greg Nice (Nice & Smooth), Tamir Z. Brown (Lyics to Go), Big Al & Case Bloom. This party was pretty legendary – dude who owned the crib had a yacht lodged in the backyard with a full open bar and Crystal Waters showed up & tore it down.

Speaking of Greg Nice we debuted our new Sheen single featuring him Sunday night at Purdy Lounge and completely shut shit down! Be on the lookout for this alongside some heavy hitting remixes from some A-List dudes in the game coming real soon.

Oh what’s that in my hand? A copy of that Scumbag Funk Vol. 1 & 2 on CD finally! Sheen Bros greatest of all time HAHA
