Where to start? This little bastard’s been releasing music worldwide since the tender age of 19. As both a producer and an MC the Toronto native’s credentials stack up quite impressively. Since releasing his debut 12” in 2003 on indy hip-hop powerhouse Definitive Jux he hasn’t looked back. It wasn’t long before he was touring alongside some of hip-hop’s most prestigious names including Raekwon, GZA, The Pharcyde, MURS & RJD2 just to name a few. In the studio, his resumé boasts impressive collabos with the likes of: Cannibal Ox, 45 King, Pete Rock, U-God (Wu-Tang), Akrobatik, C-Rayz Walz, Sammy Bananas (Fool’s Good), Simahlak & many more.
His latest venture, The SHEEN Bros, has paired Pyramid with NYC DJ legend Cosmo Baker (The Rub). With Cosmo on the ones and twos and Pyramid on the MPD, these two have smoothed out their own brand of sexy dancefloor flavor, what they like to call Scumbag Funk, and the people want more.
If he’s not running around the globe on tour, or scoring ad campaigns & TV Spots, then he’s probably locked up in the studio recording his upcoming solo album “Twice As Strong”.
RECORDING HILIGHTS:
- Produces 1st full 12” single of his career at NYC’s legendary D&D Studios (2001).
- Releases MC debut 12” Aquatic b/w War With Orcs as lead single to Definitive Jux Pt. III compilation (2004).
- Produces a track for Sprite’s Aruba Jam Remix campaign which contained all original productions by 4th Pyramid, Pete Rock, Prince Paul, RJD2, Dan The Automator & Alias (2005).
- Produces track and appears as himself in award winning film “My Brother” starring Vanessa Williams, Tatum O’Neal & Fredro Starr (2005)
- Engineer on Black Eyed Peas “Remix & Re:Negotiations” EP for the Pete Rock Remix Ft. James Brown on EMI (2006).
- Featured on 45 King (producer of Eminem’s “Stan/Jay-Z ”Hard Knock Life”) EP for Toyota’s Scion A/V label.
The release features MCs: 4th Pyramid, Wale & Pase Rock (2008).
- Releases & mixes his DJ debut the Sheen Bros. Scumbag Funk Volume 1 as a free download. Over 8,000 downloads in 1 week (2009).
